Venza and Lexus RX350
The Venza looks like the same basic design as the new 2010 Lexus RX 350. Am I correct? My wife is looking at the Lexus for her business, but for about $8-10,000 less the Venza might be the way to go if you can get past the grill work.

Welcome to the site, ntorch.
Gee it does look very similar doesn't it? Has Toyota / Lexus released official images yet?

Re: Venza and Lexus RX350
Hi,
I have a friend who owns a 2009 RX350, and we compared the cars side by side. I have a 2010 Venza Touring with nav, black with light gray interior.
Here's what we found:
1) length is almost the same;
2) the RX stands a good 4 in. taller than the Venza.
3) probably due to 2), there is no rear suspension intrusion in the RX. in the Venza, you have the two rear suspension anchor points.
4) the seats offer better suport on the RX, and the leather is better, seat cushions are perforated.
5) the RX offers memory position on the driver seat. A good thing to have if you have multple drivers.
6) we have a remote, the RX has a credit card sized RF card.
7) the back seats split 40-20-40, and if I remember correctly, could be moved ofre and aft.
Overall, my friend was impressed, almost disgusted at the similitude between the cars. HIs, for CDN$ 10,000 more did not have nav.
