New 2021 Toyota Venza

Venza has returned!

2021 Toyota Venza

May 18, 2020: We are very excited to share with you that Toyota officially announced today that the Venza is coming back this year as a 2021 model.

The all-new 2021 Venza is based off the existing Toyota Harrier already offered in Toyota's home market - Japan.

2021 Toyota Venza Highlights

So let's get to it, here are some of our favorite highlights of the new vehicle:

  • All models will come equipped with a hybrid powertrain
  • Based on TNGA-K platform
  • All models will be all wheel drive (electronic on-demand)
  • Available fixed panoramic glass roof with frost control
  • Is a mid-size crossover utility vehicle (CUV)
  • Available 12.3" touch screen infotainment
  • Available 10" color Heads Up Display (HUD)

2021 Venza Interior Highlights

Some of the biggest news of the interior are the inclusion of a 12.3" touch screen infotainment screen, a 10" color heads-up display or HUD, and available heated and ventilated (cooled) front seats on the Limited trim.

A neat feature borrowed from Lexus is "S-FLOW". Basically that means that the air conditioning system is more intelligent and efficient and only provides cooling to the seats that are occupied. This system uses the seat occupancy sensors we believe to determine if the seat is occupied.

2021 Venza MPG

Toyota is saying this regarding fuel economy: "Venza is expected to have impressive fuel efficiency, with a preliminary manufacturer-estimated 40 MPG combined fuel economy in LE trim."

We expect some higher trim level vehicles with larger tires to get slightly worse fuel economy numbers, which is normal.

Three Trim Levels

For 2021, the Venza is offered in three trim levels, the base XE, XLE, and Limited. These are in alignment with typical trim level designations. The LE comes with 18" wheels and the others 19" wheels.

Pricing has not been announced yet at time of writing. It will be available at US Toyota dealerships in summer 2020. Full PDF press release.
